We don't charge for awnings,
children's tents
etc.
One caravan - one family - one charge.
We regret that we are no longer
able to accept Motorhomes due to the uncertainty of the British weather.
Where are we?
A mile
down a quiet country road off the A39 at St Kew Highway, 2 miles north of
Wadebridge. Detailed directions in the Caravan Club Directory or click here for a map.
Kivells is peacefully situated in lovely countryside, yet is only 4
miles from the market town of Wadebridge and close to the stunning North
Cornwall coast.
The site is a spacious 1.5
acre lawned field with trees planted between pitches and views across the
surrounding country.
It is an ideal location for reaching
many of the attractions of North Cornwall and also the spectacular Eden Project.
Wadebridge is a 15th century market town founded on the wool
trade. The 14 arch bridge over the River Camel, built in 1460 still stands today.
There are a wide variety of shops to satisfy your
day to day needs including quality butchers, greengrocers and bakers for real food,
a Co-op for general shopping and if you must there is a dreaded Tesco.
Wadebridge's central location means that the
area is ideal for exploring all that North Cornwall has to offer. The
Camel Trail is Cornwall's largest free attraction. Within easy reach are
places such as Rock, Port Isaac, Padstow, Polzeath,
Bodmin and the moor. The coastal foot path provides
many possibilities for exhilarating views and reaching beaches and coves
inaccessible by any other means.
If you want to eat out, there are many places
in the area whether you seek high quality pub food, restaurants, a simple
cafe or even a choice of two Michelin Star fine dining restaurants.
In addition to the main attraction of
the sea and beaches, there are ample leisure facilities including golf, leisure
centre and cinema all within easy reach.
What have we to offer at
Kivells?
Well to start with,
there's space.
1.5 acres of lawned
field for just five caravans. We want you to relax without feeling crammed
in, that's why the pitches are generous with trees growing between them.
And how you position your van is your business.
We could only get three vans in this picture!
All the pitches have an
electrical hook-up point and the cost of electricity is included in the price.
Then there's the hot
shower, toilet and washing facilities.
And if you're feeling in need of a little exercise there's a
table tennis room as well.
If your junior caravanners need a little more space to express
their individuality, we understand if Mum and Dad want their own 1 man Pup tent !!
No charge, we've been there too.
What could be better on a summers evening (or any evening
at that) than to sit outside your caravan and enjoy a perfect barbecue with
only the sound of the birds to disturb your peace.

A few ideas of what there is to see and do
locally:
Visitors are drawn to this area by the
spectacular North Cornish coast with its Coastal Footpath, cliff walks and beaches.
'Eden' a "must do" for everyone
even if you've been before as it does change year by year.
There are
many beaches to suit all tastes within easy reach from Daymer Bay with its
safe gentle beach to
Polzeath with the Atlantic rollers and wonderful
surf.
For golfers
there is an excellent 9 hole course and driving range up the road - pay as you
play. Plus 3 first class 18 hole courses within easy travelling
distance.
The Camel
Trail - formerly the Bodmin and Wadebridge Railway along the River Camel for 26
miles from Padstow via Wadebridge to Bodmin - is now used for cycling and
walking. (There are several bike hire outlets in Wadebridge).
Fishing
trips and water-sports such as sailing and water skiing are available at
Rock,
where you can also take the ferry across to Padstow. For fine dining, Rock is where you will find Nathan Outlaw's 2 Michelin star
'Restaurant Nathan Outlaw'.
Padstow is
a lively fishing harbour, made even more popular in recent years by Rick Stein,
whose famous 'Seafood Restaurant' and 'Stein's Fish & Chips' are situated alongside the harbour. Fine dining is available at Paul Ainsworth's
Number 6
, Padstow's first Michelin Star restaurant.
Inland, the
National Trust house and garden at
Lanhydrock is well worth a visit as is
Pencarrow, a private
house and garden owned by the Molesworth-St. Aubyn family.
